1. The contract you accept
HoloTech is software you (or the operator of your installation) run on hardware you control. By using HoloTech you accept these terms together with the privacy policy and the operator policy of the installation you sign in to. If you do not accept them, do not use the product.
2. Who you are contracting with
HoloTech itself does not host your data. Your contract is with the operator of the installation you use, not with the vendor of the software. The vendor provides the binary under the licence described in the distribution; the operator is responsible for availability, backups, and compliance of the installation.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use HoloTech to store or share content that:
- Infringes the intellectual-property rights of a third party.
- Contains unlawful material, including content that depicts child sexual abuse.
- Is intended to harm, defraud, or harass another person.
- Carries malware, ransomware, or other code designed to cause damage.
The operator may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. The vendor of the software has no ability to inspect encrypted content and relies on the operator to enforce this section.
4. Your account
You are responsible for the secrecy of your passphrase and your authenticator codes. HoloTech cannot reset your passphrase from the outside — only the operator of your installation can. Keep a personal backup of any content you cannot afford to lose.
5. Software licence
The HoloTech binary is distributed under the licence that ships with it (see the LICENSE file in the distribution archive). Nothing in these terms restricts rights you already hold under that licence.
6. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the HoloTech binary is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the software is with you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the vendor nor the operator is liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damage, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from or in connection with your use of HoloTech, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
8. Changes to these terms
The vendor may update these terms to reflect changes in the product or in applicable law. Material updates will be reflected in the dated notice above and announced through the release notes. Continuing to use HoloTech after a material update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the operator of your installation. The vendor can only answer questions about the binary itself.
